The International Confederation of Principals’ Convention 2026 (ICP 2026) will be held in Auckland, New Zealand from 156–18 September 2026 at the New Zealand International Convention Centre. This landmark event will welcome up to 2,000 principals and education leaders from 52 countries, making it one of the largest global gatherings of school leadership. It offers a unique opportunity to share insights, address challenges, and strengthen international collaboration in education.
The convention theme, “The Four Winds – The Purapura Korari, Ka ruia e te hau”, draws inspiration from the flax bush and its seeds, symbolizing generations of learners, equity in education, and the global spread of ideas. Just as the winds carry seeds across the world, ICP 2026 will carry forward innovative practices, cultural wisdom, and leadership strategies to shape the future of schools worldwide. The theme emphasizes both the nurturing of local traditions and the importance of global exchange.
